Dear Partington Central Surgery Patients,
Today Wednesday 24 September 2025 early afternoon, we noted that there was an issue with the water supply.
The issue was reported to United Utility, and the Land Lords of the Building.
As many patients are aware, the Practice is closed on Wednesday afternoons and as such there was no disruption or direct impact on patient access, and also no impact on Infection Prevention and Control measures.
However, as it currently stands at time of writing (approx 20:40) the issue is yet to be resolved.
United Utilities has posted an update at 17:30 stated that the issue has been fixed. We re-tested the water supply at 18:30 and 19:30 and it was not satisfactory or meeting of the standards of a Health Centre and as such requested for the issue to be re-opened.
United Utilities has since updated their post at 20:38 re-activating the issue and a team of engineers are on site and “digging up the road”
We will be texting all our patients at 7:00am tomorrow informing you all of the latest situation and as to whether the practice will be open.
Please do not be concerned, in the event that the Practice will not be open then you can still contact the surgery via telephone on 0161 775 7032 to be put through to the Mastercall service who will deal with all your queries and navigate and see you accordingly.
NHS111 are aware of the situation at the Health Centre and as such all NHS111 queries that can be booked into the surgery will also be directed to the Mastercall service.
This is rather unfortunate news however is out of our control but we wish to thank you all for your patience and understanding.
